Hobbitish Traits

For hobbits in Middle-earth use the Halfling race from the Player's Handbook (p. 26) or Basic Rules (p. 16), but:

  • Remove the Languages trait.
  • Remove the Subrace trait.
  • Add the traits below.

Innocent. When casting spells your Spell Save DC is -5, and you have disadvantage on spell attack rolls.

Inner Strength. You have advantage on Constitution saving throws.

Overlooked. You have advantage on saving throws against spells, and spell attacks against you have disadvantage.

Hobbitish Appetite. You can go without food for only half the usual amount of days (see Player's Handbook p. 185 or Basic Rules p. 66).

Elevensies. Eating a full meal (which takes 1 hour for a hobbit) restores 1 hit dice.

Trackless Step. Anyone trying to track you has disadvantage to their Wisdom (Survival) check.

Languages. You have proficiency in Westron (Hobbitish) and Westron.

Subrace. There are three main kinds of Hobbits: Harfoots, Stoors, and Fallohides. Choose one of these subraces.

Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 1.

Precise Throw. You have advantage for thrown weapon attacks when throwing weapons that weigh 1 lb. or less, and may add your proficiency bonus again when throwing a small stone.
